Do25inco

Do25inco - pronounced Dos Cinco - is a Rapper born and raised in Naucalpan State of Mexico. His career as an artist started at the beginning of a young age, influenced by the "Sonideros" in Mexican popular culture. A sonidero is a disc jockey, engineer or entertainer that plays records in public spaces, mainly cumbia, salsa, guaracha and their subgenres. 

He grew up in a hostile environment, which is reflected in his lyrics, inspired by hip hop tapes that he bought in the flea market and popular music from Latin America. At the age of 12 he started to write poetry and to compose songs. Influenced by his cousin, he started with graffiti and rap music at the age of 15 - a year later he was running hip-hop concerts and dance hall parties to promote his music and earn some money in the hood with the help of his family. His mother was selling food and his father beers and drinks while Do25inco was on the music and the mic - this was the beginning of everything.

Do25inco started to play DJ sets at underground parties and popular clubs in Mexico City, but at the same time he was still organizing concerts in his hood with the most hyped rappers back in those days. His life started to change when he was invited to be part of one of the most important independent labels in the city and got a chance to be on tour in Mexico and Latin America for four years non stop. The first flight he ever took was made possible by music.

After this journey he decided to move to Tulum to start the next musical chapter as a Dj, Rapper and party curator. At that time he dropped his first ep called Wake Up and was invited to perform at Fusion festival in Germany - his first time being in Europe. One year after playing several shows around Europe he decided to set up a base in Berlin to continue working on his musical career. This is where he founded the collective and party series "Tacos mit Cumbia", that promotes the emerging sounds of Latin America mixed with the club culture in Berlin, while his tracks as a rapper address social issues and show solidarity with migrant communities worldwide. Do25inco is also head of a creative agency called "Barrio Archive's" where he works between radio, creative direction, music, bookings, street food and custom clothing.
